Justify the title 'The Hundred Dresses'

The title of the story “The Hundred Dresses” is very much justified as the young Polish Girl always claimed that he had a hundred dresses at home when teased by her classmates. The girl won the first prize winning the art competition about dresses, and her drawing was her motivation to ignore the teasing before she left school.
