Transparent object	Opaque object
They allow light to pass through them.	They do not allow light to pass through them.
One can see clearly through such objects.	One cannot see clearly through them.
They do not cast any shadow as they do not block light.	They cast dark shadows as they block light completely.
Example : clean glass, water, air.	Example : Metal, stone, wood.
