Dear Student,
We cant say that both are different constructs because Management includes leadership, A manager can also be a leader.
following are the some differences  :

Basis	Manager	Leader
Existence	A manager exists only in a formal organisation structure	A leader can be found in both formal organisation structure.
Focus	The focus of a manager in on achieving the organisational goals	The focus of a leader is on fulfilling aspirations and expectation of his followers.
Authority	A manager possesses formal authority	A leader enjoys acceptance authority
Functions	Manager performs all functions of an organisation planning organising,directing controlling	Leader performs only one function i e directing.

For Example:  Some examples of leaders, which are born in India are Mahatma Gandhi, Amitabh Bachchan, Kiran Bedi,  Sachin Tendulkar, Saina Nehwal, etc. but the managers are the ne who performs all function of management such as  Planning, Controlling, Organising, Leading & Motivating and Decision Making etc.
