Length of a rectangular field is 100m. If it's perimeter is 300m , what is its breadth?

length=100 m
Breadth=x
Perimeter=300m
perimeter of a rectangle=2(l+b)
                           =300 =2(100+x)
                           =300 =200+2x
                           =300-200=2x
                           =100=2x
                           =100/2=x
                           =50=x
Therefore breadth=50 m

  • 5
Answer = 50
Length = 100
Breadth =50
Perimeter of the rectangle = 2x ( L + B )
= 2x ( 100+50 )
= 2x 150
= 300

Therefore the answer is : 30
  • 1
length=100m
perimeter=300m
breadth=?

so, to find breadth,
perimeter/2 - length

ie.

300/2 - 100
150-100
ans) 50

and I am sorry to say but Uzrah Muskan your answer is absolutely wrong as according to your result the perimeter will be 260m

Thanks!
