LETTER:-

Q) In your colony there is a water leakage because a pipe was broken. You try to get to know everything about what has happened. The water department responds very late and around 10,000tons are lost. Write a letter to the editor telling how irregular and irresponsible the water department is of your area. Your Saketh from Mumbai.

Respected Sir/Maam,

Subject: Water problem due to pipe burst

I would like to grab the attention of the water department of Mumbai which takes care of this zone.

2days back that is on 27th of July, there was water all around the roads here. All small kid of 6years would be drowned. I really was inquisitive to know what has happened. The reason was that there was a pipe burst. Around 10,000 gallons were wasted. Water-water all around but not a drop to drink. I even got to know that all the water was fresh water going from a main pine line. I called up the police, they told they would contact the water department and would reach the place in 15minutes. But by the time they got to know the address and came with the workers it took around 2.30hours. It was a very though deal for the management, but my question is-if they would have reached earlier a lot of water would be saved and it was off peak time and that too on a working day like Tuesday. But they just failed.

I wouldnt like this to repeat again. Already water is scare, so protect it to the utmost and even for future!

Thanking You, (Sign) Saketh.

Respected Sir/Maam,

Subject: Water problem due to pipe burst

I would like to grab the attention of the concerned authorities of the water department to the problem of water leakage in my area.

On the 27th of July, there was a massive water logging in the Subba Pachella area. I was really inquisitive to know what has happened and soon found out that there was a pipe burst. Around 10,000 gallons were wasted. Concerned, I called up the police. They told me that they would contact the water department and assured me that the problem will be resolved within 15minutes. But, by the time they reached here, two and a half hours had already passed. I understand that it  must have been a difficult job for the management, but what concerns me is the wastage of water. If they would have reached earlier a lot of water would have been saved. I am disappointed with the kind of service we had to face.

I wouldn't like this to repeat again. Water is scare, so we need to protect it for future!

Thanking You,

Saketh.
