Lilliput and Blefuscu, the "two great empires of the universe", have been at war for 36 moons. How did this 36 moon war start? Answer in 100 words.

The Lilliputians and Blefuscuians both followed a set of writings collectively called the Blundrecal, which amongst many things espoused the right way to break an egg. For long, the large end was considered to be the right end to break the egg, however the emperor of Lilliput's grandfather, who was in charge of the nation then, ordered everyone to try the small end first, after cutting his finger while trying to break the egg from the larger end. This sparked the war of 36 moons, wherein the supporters of the small end were called Smallendians (Lilliput) and the ones that supported the large end were called Bigendians (Blefuscu).
