• Yeast (Saccharomyces sp.) is a fungus which helps in making bread, fermentation etc.
• Rhizobium is a bacterium living in the root nodules of leguminous plants help in nitrogen fixation.
• Penicillin is an important antibiotic drug obtained from the fungus called Penicillium.
• All decomposers that decompose the dead and decaying organisms to clean the environment are microorganisms.
• Several vaccines are made up of live bacteria or virus.
• Lactobacillus is a type of bacteria responsible for transforming milk into curd.
• Some bacteria residing inside our intestine help in digestion.
• Microorganisms are used to decompose biological wastes are produce organic fertilizers and biogas.
