List the events that lead to biogas production from waste water whose BOD has been reduced significantly.

The effluent is transferred into a Settling tank , after the significant reduction of BOD. Here the floes are allowed to sediment. This leads to production of activated sludge.
From here , the sludge is made to pass to the Sludge Digester where digestion of microbes from the sludge takes place by anaerobic bacteria.
This leads to production of gases like methane , H2S and CO2 .
These gases thus produce Biogas which is used as a energy resource.
