List three reasons why Kanta thinks she is not equal in the story?

When standing in a queue to cast her vote, Kanta has a reason to feel that she is at par with others since her employer and her neighbor are also standing in the same queue. This equality offered to her is strictly on a political basis because of universal adult franchise wherein every person irrespective of caste gender and economic status has a chance to cast their vote.
But in terms of economic and social sense, Kanta is not equal with others like her employers
Reasons being:
  • Kanta cannot afford the best medical treatment for her daughter and have to queue up again at government hospitals that offer very cheap medical facilities
  • She works as a domestic help earning a paltry salary and has to borrow money to buy medicines for her daughter
  • She lives in slums, that is filthy and sickens her daughter but due to Kanta's poor economic conditions she cannot move out of the same.
