Yes they are true patriots as they first think to threw back american boy back to sea because they do not want to help their enemy but because of their kindness and good human nature both of them had not agreed for that .even After aware of their fate if army got to know about the american boy sadao and hanna keep him at home until he recovered from injuries . As an true patriot he told the general about all that and agreed for his assasination . Again due to his human nature he send him safely back to america . Both of them donot want to keep him at home but there is something which donot let them to do so.
