Lyophilic sols are more stable den lyophobic sols. Why???

Lyophilic sols are relatively stable as strong forces of interaction exist between colloidal particles and liquid. While lyophobic sols are less stable as weak forces of interaction exist between colloidal particles and liquid.

Lyophilic sols are more stable than lyophobic sols. This is due to the fact that lyophillic sols are extensively solvated i.e. colloidal particles are covered by a sheath of the liquid in which they are dispersed.

The lyophilic sols are highly hydrated in the solution... that's why these are more stable than lyophobic sols .. hope it helpss :)

Lyophilic sols are more stable than lyophobic sols because in lyophilic sols there exists a strong attraction between the dispersed phase and water whereas lyophobic solid there is a lack of attraction between the dispersed phase and water.

I hope it helps..
