Dear Student, The angles which occupy the same relative position at each intersection where a straight line crosses two others. If the two lines are parallel, the corresponding angles are equal. Or if a transversal intersects two lines , then two angles formed by the transversal at different vertices one being interior and the exterior , both being on the same side of the transversal are called corresponding angles.
Figure shows how corresponding angles are form and how corresponding angles are equal to each other.
