Mature RBCs are devoid of which cell organnelles and why...??

Dear student,

They have nucleus during early development but in order to provide more space for haemoglobin, they shed the nucleus. They loose all the other cell organelles slowly. They do not have contain DNA & cannot synthesise RNA & hence they do not have the capability of division & repair. Now since they do not have DNA, they cannot carry out protein synthesis, & hence no virus can target RBC in mammals.
