melting points of three substances are A,B,C are 52 degree,175 degree,80 degree. arrange them in the decreasing order of the interparticle force of attraction in each of them. give reason for your answer.

pleaseeee do helppp .......

Dear student1
Melting point is directly proportional to the strength of bond as, stronger the bond higher will be the melting point.

So, the matter with minimum melting point i.e. 52°For A will have the minimum intermolecular or inter particular force of attraction so that the bond will be weakest.

The stronger intermolecular force will be found in C with  80° melting point and the the strongest intermolecular force would be found in B with melting point 175°.

So, the decreasing order of intermolecular force would be , B > C >A

according to me it should be A , C , B.

'A' requires least energy to melt , i.e , its molecules are easily seperared.

'B' requires more energy in comparizon to 'A' and 'C' requires more energy in comparizon to 'B' .

If my advice helps then pls thumbs up.
