Mention any 2 incidents from the novel up from slavery that have affected you so much that they have changed your view of the world.

Dear student,

Washington worked before and after school in the salt mines so that he could supplement the family's income and still be given permission to study. This incident has taught me to be diligent and determined and count my blessings. Despite his hardships, Washington found a way to be permitted to attend school: I have now understood that I am privileged to get an education and never complain about going to school. Rather, I wish to make the most of this opportunity.
Another incident that has deeply affected me: Washington's mother displayed generosity of spirit in adopting a child even though they were short of money and resources themselves. I have learned to share my possessions with others and be more charitable.

Regards
