mention the cell that lies in the spongocoel and canals in sponges. what forms the skeleton in sponges.?

Dear student
Choanocytes or collar cells are cells which line the spongocoel and the canals of sponges. These cells are flagellated cells surrounded by a collar. Flagellum beat regularly maintaining water flow through the body and helps in filtering nutrients and food from the water. Movement of flagella help in creating water flow from ostia to osculum through spongocoel. This is the characteristic feature of the kingdom Porifera.
Hope this answer helps,

Cheers!
