Mention the conditions required for shadow formation

Dear Student,

Conditions for the formations of shadows are 

1. A light source, an opaque obstacle, a screen.

2. Umbra, that is the dark part (shown in the above figure by the dark triangular shape) of the shadow must fall on the screen.
