all states have legislative assemblies corresponding to the lok shabha at the center. but only certain states like maharstra,karnataka,uttar pradesh,bihar and jammukashmirhave legistative councils,corresponding to rajya sabha,along with the state assemblies. state llegislatures having only legislative assemblies are called unicameral.
