q. Sharon has a piece of cloth of area 170cm2 . Can she make a square handkerchief out of it with a length of each side as 12.5 cm ?
pls answer asap......
Area is 170cm^2
Length of each side of handkerchief = 12.5 cm
Therefore area = 12.5^2
=156.25 cm^2
Then,
Total area > area of handkerchief with given length
-> 170cm^2
Therefore it is possible to make a square handkerchief ot of the given peice of cloth.
