The unification of Germany was not the outcome of few years but was the result of many years which was firstly tried by Napolean.When Bismamark became the PM of Germany in the reign of William I, he tried to unify Germany with Prussian dominance.He adopted the policy of Realpolitik which means Politics of Power not Principles and Iron and Blood was of the most prominent among them.He banned social Democratic Party.He wanted the Military rule that's why he declared war against Austria in 1866 which was known as Battle of Koniggratz and then attacked on France in Franco-Prussian War.Hence we can say that under the leadership of Bismark 'Military/Army played a crucial role in the unification of Italy and Germany.'
