Some organelles with coordinated functions together constitute the endomembrane system. Endomembrane system includes the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), Golgi complex, lysosomes and vacuole.
Mitochondria and plastids do not have functions in coordination with the organelles of endomembrane system. Hence, these are not included in this system.
