Molecular mass number

Dear Student,

The molecular mass can be calculated as:

1) Na2SO4 - Sodium Sulphate - 23 x 2 + 32 + 16 x 4 = 142 u
2) K2CO3  - Potassium Carbonate -  39 x 2 + 12 + 16 x 3 =  138 u
3) CO2 = 12 + 16 x 2 = 44 u

for the rest of the compounds you yourself can find the molecular mass by taking the given below molecular mass and multiplying them with their respective number of atoms used.

H - 1 u
C = 14 u
O = 16 u
Na = 23 u
K = 39 u
Mg = 24 u
Al = 27 u
P = 31 u

Hope this information will clear your doubts about the topic.
