Mr. Crocker Harris was an aged school teacher. He was retiring from the school. He was sincere and a strict disciplinarian. He never used to disclose the results before it was announced by the headmaster. He was never partial towards any student and gave students the grades which they deserved unlike some teacher who were partial towards a handful of students. Mr. Crocker Harris rarely expressed any kind of emotion. Taplow liked Mr. Harris and respected him.
Mr. Frank on the other hand was younger than Mr. Harris. He used to make fun of Mr. Crocker Harris. He was a man of poor morals. He was unaffected by the fact that he has an intimate relationship with Mr. Harris's wife, Millie Crocker Harris. Mr. Frank was a man of not only poor moral values but he was also not an an ideal teacher.
