Music transcends all boundaries and has a universal language. It soothes and calms frayed nerves, gives peace. As the poet listened to the solitary reaper, he did not understand the words. But, he understood the language of music as it touched his heart and soul. He stood mesmerised by the music as it bound him in a spell. He carried this music in his heart and it gave him peace and pleasure long after he had heard it. It had an everlasting quality. Music therapy is tried all over the world to boost morale, lift spirits, increase productivity and efficiency.
