a. The above mentioned statement/caption is in the context of what the British perceive and represented through various paintings and art work.
b.  Mutinous sepoys refer to those who rebelled in the year 1857, in reference to the Revolt of 1857, against the colonial regime.
c. These sepoys according British representation were greedy , who just wanted to accumulate resources.
d. These sepoys according to them were vicious, sly and only wanted to loot the resources for personal gains.

soldiers who do not heed to the words are called mutinous sepoys.(sepoys usually means the indian soldiers under british control) these rebellious soldiers share the reward they have stolen.( the goods stolen are called loot).
