Name an inert element which has triplet configuration of electrons.

Helium is an inert element having triplet configuration as in singlet state two electron are in 1s2 orbital having zero spin .
When these electrons get parallel to each other like 1s¹2s<sup>1 
Now the value of spin = 1/2 * 2 = 1
And it is defined as the triplet state of electrons. Triplet state has lower energy than the singlet state.
S = 2 (s) + 1
   = 2 ( 1) + 1 = 3 ( value of total spin of electrons )
