Name any four parts of the cell that are common in both animal and in plant cell .Mention their functions also..

Dear student,
Please find below the answer:

Cell organelles are the specific structures present inside the cell that have specific functions to perform in different cell metabolic activities. They are mostly membrane-bound. They are the parts of a cell. The organelles present in both plant and animal cells are- Mitochondria, ribosome, nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum.

Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell as it provides energy in the form of ATP to the cell. It has a double membrane around it.

The nucleus is the largest organelle present in the eukaryotic cells. It is spherical in shape. Its nucleus holds the genetic material. Thus, the nucleus controls all life activities. The entire segment of the DNA present is not always functional. The functional regions are called genes.

Ribosome plays a very important role in protein synthesis.

The function of the endoplasmic reticulum are:
1) It helps in synthesizing the membrane of the cell and other cells organelles.
2) The rough endoplasmic reticulum contains ribosomes on its surface which help in synthesizing proteins.
3) The smooth endoplasmic reticulum helps in synthesizing and metabolizing the lipids and fats of the body.

Hope this clears your doubt.
Regards.
