Sri Lanka 2) Ashoka respected other religions as well because of
which people started believing more in Buddhism 3) Ashoka gave up
tours of pleasure and went on dharma yatras to preach Buddhism 4)
He obtained the relics of the Buddha from the earlier stupas and
redistributed them at various other places by building several new
