Name the intermediate and the end products of glucose in aerobic respiration

Dear Student,

The first stage of aerobic respiration is glycolysis in which glucose molecule is broken down into two molecules of pyruvic acid. Thus, pyruvic acid is the intermediate product of aerobic respiration. Pyruvic acid enters in mitochondria where it is converted into acetyl CoA. The acetyl CoA enters into Krebs/citric acid cycle where it is broken down to carbon dioxide and water. Thus, the end product of aerobic respiration is carbon dioxide and water and the released energy.

Hope it helps you!
Regards.
