Name the two end products of double fertilization in angiosperm .how they are formed?write their fate during the development of seed.

Two end products of double fertilization are Zygote and Primary Endesperm Nucleus(PEN) . During the development ,zygote turns to embryo and endosperm is consumed. If endosperm is fully comsumed such seed will be called non endospermic seed and if it is half consumed , then the seed is termed as endospermic.

The two end products of double fertilization in angiosperms are diploid zygote and a triploid primary endosperm nucleus. Diploid zygote is formed by fusion of haploid gametes, that is between male gamete and egg. Primary endosperm is formed by fusion of another male gamete and two polar nuclei of central cell. During the development of seed, the zygote undergoes mitotic divisions to form a mature embryo, while the primary endosperm gives rise to nutritive tissue called endosperm which provides nourishment to growing embryo
