name two locations of site other than the brain where receptors for change in carbon dioxide and h+ concentration of blood found

Dear Student,

The peripheral chemoreceptors i.e. the aortic and the carotid bodies are susceptible to the change in carbon dioxide and hydrogen ion concentration. They detect change in chemical composition. The aortic bodies are found near the arch of the aorta and is responsible for responding to the severe changes in the partial pressure of oxygen. The carotid body responds to any changes in the partial pressure of carbon dioxide. The aortic bodies are responsible for many of the cardiovascular effects of hypoxia.
