Narrate Gulliver's first encounter with the Lilliputians ?
Gulliver's adventures in Lilliput began with a shipwreck after which he found himself bound by a multitude of threads and addressed by his minuscule captors who were simultaneously offensive as well as defensive about their little kingdom. They were violent towards their captive, pricking him with arrows which to Gulliver seemed like little more than pinpricks. Gulliver was taken to their king and eventually became a national asset for the Lilliputians. Gulliver's hat had two holes bored into its brim, within an inch and half of the edge with two hooks fastened in the holes. These hooks were tied by a long cored to the harness by the Lilliputians. Thus, his hat had been dragged along for above half an English mile but it had not been damaged so badly because of the extremely smooth and level roads in the country. He was used by the army in its war against the people of Blefuscu whom the Lilliputians hated. But things changed when Gulliver was convicted of treason and condemned to be shot in the eyes and starved to death. However, Gulliver managed to escape and return to England.
