Dear student, As we know that in photoelectric emmision, Maximum Kinetic energy is equal to the left over Energy of photon after the work function is removed. Now work function is constant in both cases. But we know that Energy of photon increases if its wavelength is less and decreases if its wavelength is more. In the Question, we see that the maximum KE increases and becomes twice that of initial KE. This means that the energy of photon in second case is more and so more Kinetic energy is left. So, Wavelength 2 is less than wavelength 1 and only one option satisfies this. So, the correct option is Option 2.
