of poem snake

Dear Student

1) Someone refers to the snake to acknowledge it's presence as a living being.

2) The poet came down with his pitcher for drinking water but he was encountered by the snake so the poet waited until the snake finishes drinking water as the snake had come first and the poet came after him. Also the snake was like a guest for him thought that the snake was the owner of  the water trough and thus the poet waited at the water trough.

3) The snake raises it's head and looks around dreamily, in the poet's direction as if it was thrice in a dream, just as the cattle do while drinking water. It flickers his two forked tongue and bends again to drink some more water.
The snake was golden in colour. The poet's intellect told him that golden snakes are venomous. It was earth brown in colour. It had a two-forked tongue that flickered. The snake has been described as yellow-brown sleek and soft-bellied. The poet looks upon the snake as a god because the latter is very unmindful and carefree about the lesser mortals like humans.
