@Kirti, the sentences mentioned are correctly filled in by the missing words by Gargi.
However, the sentence ‘fire engine arrived and the firemen held a blanket’ would have no words put in between. The reason for this is the fact that a paragraph is always written in a single tense. Here, the paragraph is written in simple tense and not past perfect. Thus, it won’t be ‘fire engine had arrived and the firemen held a blanket’.
