On a number line,what is the length of the line-segment joining 1/2 and -1/2??

Hi, The two points take a = 1/2 and b = -1/2 so length will be = a-b = 1/2 --1/2 = 1+12= 1 unit

The measure have to be measured which will come around some 10 cms. but we can say that in both the sides (negative and positive) the lengths of segments will be equal.
