Dear Student,
A Game that Meant a Lot to My Childhood.
I was not so good at studies. I was not also a good athlete and it pained me when others looked at me with a sympathetic eye. I was not good at anything. But I knew that I could play one game well - football. I had ardent interest in the game and nobody knew it when it was introduced by our new physical education teacher. Earlier, cricket was the school's only game.
We started playing. I used all my strength, courage and imagination and I scored frequently. All the others began to watch me in a fresh view and I was beginning to be recognised. I played for the school team for three years and reached the state final last year. I still feel that without the game, I would have been nothing in my school. I owe much to the game.
