People can have brown, black, blue or green eyes. Which part of the eye gives it this special colour?? Why?

Dear student,
Please find below the answer:

Iris is present in the eye in the form of a thin diaphragm. Like the diaphragm controls the amount of air entering the lungs, iris controls the amount of light entering the eye. It is coloured due to the presence of a pigment and it is due to this pigment that the iris gives the eyes a particular colour.

Hope this clears your doubt.
Regards.

The iris is the colored part of the eye that surrounds the pupil. The more pigment you have, the darker your eyes will be. Blue, grey, and green eyes are lighter because they have less melanin in the iris.
