People taking a lot of salt or salty food experience water retention in tissue cells and intercellular spaces because of osmosi. But,I think one person should lose the watwer as per osmosissolvent moves from lower concentration (cells ) to higher concentration of solution(salt water)..Then how will water will be retained,

Osmosis is defined as the movement of liquid from a region of low solute concentration to high solute concentration through semi permeable membrane.
While Osmotic pressure is defined as the pressure exerted on higher concentrated side in order to stop osmosis.
So when amount of salt is higher in our body, due to osmosis , cell should shrink. But cell then try to stop shrinking, or try to retain water, so that it can survive. Therefore pressure is exerted on opposite side to stop osmosis which results in increase in blood pressure and heart stroke.
