Physics Experts, why are we multiplying 1 and 2 to the denominators while calculating the pressure?

Dear student,
 To get maximum pressure the area should be least. The area is least for the surface with dimensions 2m and 1m, so this surface is taken for least area.
2m and 1m multiplied to get minimum area.
