Dear student,
a) Meristematic tissues function is to undergo mitosis for which there is a prominent nucleus and produce new cells and they are not that metabolically active to generate food for which food and thus storage organelle like vacuoles are not required. Once the cell differentiates to loose meristematic activity it develops vacuole.
 
b) The intercellular spaces are absent in sclerenchyma and the closely arranged cells offer strength and protection to the plant parts. The intercellular spaces in the tissue are absent and hence the cells appear to be polygonal in transverse section.

c) Pear has a sclerenchymatous  stone cells which are granular in texture. Hence, we get a crunchy and granular feeling, when we chew pear fruit.
