Dear Student,

Male gametophyte is formed inside the microspore or pollen grain. Microspores are formed by a process called microsporogenesis. It occurs when each micropsore mother cell in the sporogenous tissue of the pollen sac divide meiotically to form four haploid microspores. These microspores are the first cells of the gametophytic generation. Male gametophyte formation starts in the microspore or pollen grain while it is still inside the anther sac. Sporopollenin is the hard organic material that makes up the outer layer i.e exine of the pollen grain. It is resistant to high temperature, enzymatic actions and protect pollen grain from different harmful substances.Option A is correct.
