'The gas jar (A) containing a colorless gas is kept upside down over another gas jar; (B) containing a reddish - brown gas. The two jars are separated by a glass plate placed is between the jars. '

According to the question :

(i) The gases in the two jars are:
 The jar A contains air while gas in jar B is bromine gas.

(ii) When the glass plate placed in between the jars is removed intermixing of gas will take place.

(c)The phenomenon that takes after the gas plate between the jars is removed is called Diffusion

(d) A coloured solid and a colourless liquid which could show the same phenomenon is chalk and water
