Dear student
Wanda is seen as 'different ' in many ways by other children. She is a young Polish girl. She goes to school with other American children in an American town. She is identified by her community. She has a funny name. And, moreover she hails from a poor family as she always wears a faded and never ironed dress that doesn't fit her.
Her classmates treat her badly. They usually wait for her inorder to have some fun with her. Peggy would ask her how many dresses she has inorder to make fun of her poverty. But Wanda scarcely even says anything to anybody inspite of being discriminated and abused by other girls.
I hope it helps you!
Regards
