(1) Which state has the highest per capita income and why?
(2) Why is there a great difference of per capita income between Haryana and Bihar?

1. Haryana has the highest per capita income. This is because Haryana's agricultural productivity is very high, which in turn is due to the availability of irrigation facilities in the state. Haryana also benefits from proximity to the national capital of Delhi which generates opportunities for employment for people in Haryana.

2. There is a great difference in per capita income between Haryana and Bihar because Bihar is an underdeveloped state. Agricultural productivity is low in Bihar as most people there still follow traditional agricultural practices. Bihar also does not have a modern industrial and service sector.
