Please answer my question (84)?

Dear Student,

Beryllium has small size and has high charge density. Now, as per Fajan's rule, smaller the cation and higher the charge, greater will be the polarising power. As a result, Be has high polarising power. So, it polarises the anions which consequently leads to the formation of covalent bond. Greater the polarising power, greater will be covalent character.
So, correct answer is (A)
