please answer my question-
Atmospheric pressure is defined as the pressure exerted by atmospheric air. To understand the magnitude of this pressure, one can imagine an air column of side 10cm*10cm and height equal to the height of the atmosphere. The weight of this column is equal to the atmospheric pressure. What is the mass?

Dear Student

Consider the height of the air column be ‘h’ meter. The volume of air is,

V = (10/100)(10/100)h m3      (L x b x h)

=> V = 10-2 h m3

If the density of air is ‘ρ’ then the mass of the air column is = ρV

=  10-2 hρ Kg
