Due to the presence of ions the aqueous solution becomes conducting and the circuit is completed. In case of Aqueous solution of glucose , glucose is a carbohydrate and a covalent compound which does not ionise. Alcohol also covalent compound so not ionise. Therefor glucose and alcohol solution are non conducting and bulb does not glow. Regards
