5. Rules are the established principles for carrying out the activities in a systematic manner.
    Rules are rigid. They do not permit any deviations and demands stricty compliance.Their violance attracts              disciplinary action or penalty.
     Eg. No smoking   .

6. Division of work ( Fayol's Principles) .      ( not sure)

7.  Unity of Command
       There should be only one boss for every individual employee.If an employee gets orders from two or more superiors at a time , the principle of unity of command is violated. Each one should be commanded by oone and responsible to that one only. This resembles military organisation . Dual subordination should be avoided. This principle helps to avoid confusion regarding tasks to be done.If it is violated it leads to escapism from work and creates irresponsibility and entire system becomes hazardous.

 Unity of direction 
       Each group should be lead by one leader only . It ensures unity of action and coordination. It helps to conduct all the activities smoothly and resourcescan be utilised to the maximum extent effectively . If this priciple is violated it leads to wastage of resouces, increase in cost and unhealthy competition.

8.
Objectives
These are the desired future goals that the management of an organisation wants to acheives by its operations.They are set by the top management. The lay down guidelines for the activities and serves as a bench mark for measuring the performance of the organisation.
 
Procedures
They are the plans prescribing the exact time sequence of the work to be done , They are the guidelines to action and they are usually intended to the works which are repetuitive in nature.

Programmes
A programme is a precise plan which lays down the operations to be carried out to accomplish a given task within a specified period . They are framed for the works which are non-repetitive in nature.
