A magnet can be demagnetised when we heat it above a certain temperature (known as Curie Temperature). So a magnet can be demagnetized by heating.
And if we continuously hammer a magnet, the magnetic property will decrease or even permanently loose due to extra vibrational energy.
Even rough handling such as dropping from a certain height or hammering can disturb the alignment of magnetic molecules within the material, thus its magnetic strength decreases.
